    Original lakes opened in 1984.
  • Description:
    Six ex-Tarmac quarry lakes on the Duchy of Lancaster Estates, some are syndicate waters others day ticket.

  • Facilities:
    Parking in spaces provided by the lakes. Bar, restaurant, tackle shop, toilets, food delivery to your peg.
  • Access:
    Good with mainly flat platforms and good paths.
  • Stocking:
    There is a coarse lake with mixed stocking plus a carp only lake with large specimens and a pike and catfish lake. There is a small junior water with some quite large fish too.
  • Prices:
    £6 per day one rod and £12 for two, £11 for pike and £15 for 24hrs on carp lake. For the many options see their own website.
  • Restrictions:
    No fully barbed hooks and net disinfectant must be used.
  • Location:
    Turn off the A6 at the New Holly pub at Forton into Hollins Lane. Turn right after the village and go over the railway and follow this lane until you cross the M6 by Forton Services. The fishery entrance is about 100yds on the right.
