 | Wyreside Fishery - Age:
Opened in 1988. - Description:
A large L-shaped lake with an island and two points. A mature mixed fishery until 2003 when it was changed to a carp only fishery and now the new owners have restocked some other species but it is still a predominantly carp water. Only 15 pegs each big enough to erect a large bivvy are provided and a lot of clearing and maintenance has been done to a water which had become rather overgrown. - Facilities:
Parking in spaces provided by the pegs, caravan pitches, toilets and showers. - Access:
Generally excellent, some with disabled ramps, some you can park right next to. The most popular pegs are on the river bank side. - Stocking:
Carp of all types up to 35lb plus a few catfish up to 30lb . - Prices:
Day ticket 12hr - £20 and 24hrs - £35. Pegs can be pre-booked. - Restrictions:
No keepnets or sacks, no nut baits, no dogs or children under 12. - Location:
