 | Toad Hall Farm - Age:
Opened in 1980 but the ponds are much older. The pond top left in the aerial photo is the more popular and the easiest to get to by car. It has some very hard fighting carp well into double figures. The small pond at the top has been enlarged since this photo was taken. - Description:
Three ponds of varying size with some large carp and a lot of smaller roach and skimmers. One has large tench. - Facilities:
Parking in the fields by the ponds. - Access:
Good by car but the ponds are all fenced with stiles for access. - Stocking:
Usual common species with some larger carp and tench which can be difficult to catch and are very hard fighting. - Prices:
£5 per day and £3 juniors at the farmhouse. - Restrictions:
No fully barbed hooks, nut baits, or boilies or ground bait. No dogs as the ponds are surrounded by livestock. - Location:
Turn off the A586 near GT Ecclestone into Whitehouse Lane. Turn left at the crossroads by the wall and follow the road round several sharp bends. The farm is about half a mile on the right just on a left hand bend. Signposted. - Contacts:
Mr Catterall on 01995 679665.
