Cropper Manor - Age:
Dug out 2003 approximately. - Description:
A medium size rectangular lake with a long island down the centre. Pegs are large wooden platforms set down the bank, on one side they are at water level and the other about two feet above. There are no marginal plants and the lakes still seems unfinished. Facilities: Parking in spaces provided. - Access:
A gravel road runs all the way round but the banks are rough. The construction is still unfinished and has not yet been landscaped. There are still piles of rubbish and soil from the digging and the lakeside surroundings are not very attractive. Hopefully this will be tidied up by this year and it will look better. The aerial photo shows the location but at the time construction was not yet started. - Stocking:
Unknown. - Prices:
£6 adults and £4 juniors, tickets from the garden centre which is rather expensive considering the condition of the venue. - Restrictions:
Fishing only between 9.00am - 5.00pm although other times can be arranged. - Location:
From M55 J4 at Peel Corner follow the A583 towards Preston. Turn right at the first roundabout and with the hotel on your right hand side proceed to the second roundabout and turn right again onto Cropper Road. The fishery is 100yds on the left behind the Garden Centre. - Contacts:
